The HighTex 9518-30-17 is engineered for straight-stitching as well as 1-step, 2-step, 3-step, and 4-step zigzag patterns in the production of spinnaker sails and medium-weight sails. It employs a parallel vertical needle bar motion for increased striking power, allowing it to easily sew through sturdy webbing reinforcements and heavy-duty corner patches. This robust machine is capable of powering its needle through up to 7 mm of Dacron, Kevlar, webbing, canvas, and leather.
To ensure flawless handling, a heavy-duty built-in puller positioned behind the presser foot helps sailmakers create smooth, uniform stitches on windsurf sails and light-to-medium cloths. The machine is highly versatile, accommodating a wide range of industrial sewing threads, including sizes V46, V69, V92, and V138. Its modern design features a adjustable zigzag width of up to 10 mm.
Built with drop-in compatibility, it is fully interchangeable with the Durkopp Adler 72525—offering a seamless and familiar workflow for sail lofts already operating Adler 525 machinery. Powered by the Kinedyne HM-750SL precise speed control servo motor, it allows you to sew at very slow, consistent speeds—making it ideal for intricate artisan work and beginners alike.
